About

What I love about Web Development and Software Engineering is the ability to create things. I've spent most of my life in fields like Medicine and Medical Research, and never considered doing anything creative (mostly due to lacking any artistic ability). Then I discovered programming, where I can create things out of thin HTML!

My first real creation was a Travel Planner made for my final project at Lighthouse Labs where a user can create a travel itinerary and have Google recommendations, weather, and routes automatically displayed for their destinations. My first real programming job was at a large international vendor where I taught myself Python to design a revolutionary system for processing invoices (which was over 1000x faster than their old system). After this I worked for an AI startup company where I collaborated with a graphic design team to create a sales website for their data packages.

After recently graduating from Schulich's School of Medicine I've started creating again! I just made this new portfolio site, and also created a Spotify Profile App since I wanted to practice using OAuth. Thanks for visiting my site, I hope you have an amazing day.

Jr Software Engineer · CarltonOne Engagement

Designed automations to identify discrepancies in invoices for a multinational retailer. Personally designed and prototyped a revolutionary automation system on my own time that addressed critical inefficiencies in the previous system. Communicated this project in a convincing manner which garnered buy-in from management for its potential effectiveness. This led to the system's full-scale implementation, decreasing the average 8-minute processing time per invoice to near-instantaneous results.
